Rockland County Course With Drastic Elevations
The name says it all - hills. If you dare to walk this course, you will probably qualify for an ironman award. This course probably has the most extreme elevations out of all NYC nearby courses. On some holes, it takes about a minute to go up and down with a cart so its hard to imagine hauling clubs on foot. Deer zoom zoom Patirot Hills without any issues however.
The first tee requires a surgeon-like shot, and the front in general plays a bit harder than the back. Very easy to lose the ball from the first shot. The good news for those that do not like to deal with water is that there are no water holes on this course. However, this does not make this course super easy. Some holes are shorter and you should take advantage to make some strokes back.
Bonus points for extreme elevations and scenic views - you can even see Hudson River on some paths.
