Valley Scenic Golf With Memorable Views
This review is for Lake and Railside nines. The Great Gorge is a joy to play. The course has a warm-up driving range, chipping and putting green, and an excellent restaurant with views of the valley. The Railside nine has a unique back-to-back par fives that go down the hill, and the other stay in the valley. The Railside nine also has an old scenic railway bridge structure that might get into the swing path or provide a lucky bounce back onto the green.
Moreover, it is hard to find a straight put on these greens, and on some, it is hard to keep the ball on the green after a perfect shot. In addition, during windy conditions, it will be tough to find the right club on every approach shot. Overall, the course has a mix of water, flat, and hilly holes, making this a challenging course in the club and shot selections. Bonus points for wooden tee signs and the old railroad bridge structure.
