Easy to get to from the highway - about an hour's drive from the Big Apple. Bonus points for full grass driving range and an excellent clubhouse with a restaurant. The course conditions are superb for a public course. The course has many tight landing areas and is challenging due to various elevations. 

The fairways have unusual 125-yard markers, which might be mistaken for 100 or 150-yard indicators. However, they may become handy in figuring out more precise distances. The practice green is enormous and simulates the actual greens on the course. The course has a good mix of intimidating and breathtaking tee shots.
